How to Assemble Your Big BKF Leather Butterfly Chair

At BIG BKF Buenos Aires, we've designed a quick and easy assembly process—so you can start enjoying your handcrafted leather chair in just minutes.

Each metal frame piece is marked with a colored sticker and a number (1 to 8). Simply match each piece by color and connect them in order, starting from number 1. Each color represents a unique pair, making the process intuitive and completely tool-free.

Assembly in 3 Simple Steps:

1. Match the Colors:
   Connect the metal tubes by matching the colored stickers (color to color).
   
2. Build the Frame:
   Once all four pairs are connected, you’ll see the classic BKF structure take shape.
   
3. Attach the Leather Cover:
   Slide the leather cover onto the frame—start with the top corners and then pull down over the bottom corners.
   

And just like that—your chair is ready!

For the best experience, we suggest assembling with a friend (and maybe a glass of wine). Trust us—it’s more fun that way!

Note: Each frame has been previously tested to assure perfect fit.  For this reason, you might see small scratches inside the connections, but they will be hidden when the assembly is completed. And in regards to it possibly not sitting flat, sometimes if the joint connections aren't in 100%, it will be a tiny bit shaky, but once you use it a bit and the joints come together fully, it will sit flat. 

Recommendations: The chair was designed to sit in diagonally and resting your head on either of the 2 curved back parts like in the below picture.
